"We have been experiencing steady growth
recently and purchasing Mylon Motorways six
years ago enabled us to expand our services
even further," Mr Drinnan said
"Only recently we added a range of rail
replacement services in NSW to the operation
after winning the contract to provide the
Trainlink services in Tumbarumba, Bathurst,
Condoblin and Griffith."
Four new buses and eight drivers were added
to the list making it 64 staff and 44 buses
managed by the Border depot and there is the
capacity to expand even further.
"There is potential expansion on the horizon
again," Mr Drinnan added.
"We are always looking to see what will fit
with the business and what will complement
the existing services," he said.
Without giving too much else away he moved
on to say there had been steady growth in
local passenger numbers with increases every

growing regional centres in Victoria so more
population means more people on buses," he
Dyson Buses regularly works with Public
Transport Victoria and the state government
toward increasing the services and their
frequency but it often boils down to budgets.
"At the moment we have the capacity to
expand some of our existing services but
unfortunately the state doesn't have the funds
right now," Mr Drinnan explained.
"It's the same for many industries."
Mr Drinnan comes from a transport
background and started bus driving in 1987.
A move out of Melbourne to Echuca saw
him take up coach driving with Dyson for 12
months before moving into an office role. He
has managed the Wodonga depot since 2008.
He works in one of only two depots that aren't
managed by a family member.
"There are 64 family members working in the
group spread from managing directors through
to operations managers, administration, depot
managers, drivers and even fourth generation
kids that come in through their school
holidays," Mr Drinnan said.
