BUSINESSES on the Border can now
benefit from a range of statistics
available on the AlburyCity website
under the banner 'Plug Straight In'.
The website material provides a
one-stop-shop for information on the city which
has been previously hard to source.
Businesses have been taking advantage of
using the valuable resource tool, many reporting
they had looked for the same information
elsewhere with no luck.
The council's economic development team has
compiled the extensive information resources
that aim to help business decision makers
understand the nature of the city.
Heather Taylor from AlburyCity said the
website contained the latest available statistics
on the city's population.
"It contains who we are, where and how we
live and work, what we earn and the structure
and growth of our local industry sectors and
economy,'' she said.
"Comparative analysis over time and against
other areas is available for much of this data.
every five years, regular data gathered from
the Australia Bureau of Statistics, National
Accounts Data, Department of Education,
Employment and Workplace Relations, Tourism
Research Australia and AlburyCity's property
She said AlburyCity also had high quality
marketing brochures designed to encapsulate
the city's business and lifestyle advantages.
"The brochures are freely available to Albury
businesses looking to attract staff or to promote
the area to business colleagues.''
The majority of the information is available
on the AlburyCity website and some is also
produced in hard copy.
"The economic development team can field
enquiries or to provide copies of these documents.
"AlburyCity encourages business to "Plug
Straight In" to these resources."
"This data can be used to demonstrate
changes over time --- giving validity to or
disproving commonly held perceptions."
She said the information had been sourced
from census material which is conducted
