Vol 5. Summer/Autumn
THE merger of Albury accountancy
groups WHK and Simpson Grace will
provide additional benefits for clients
of both entities.
WHK Albury has joined forces
with Simpson Grace to continue the growth of
the region's oldest chartered accounting and
business advisory practice to more than 130
staff and principals.
The merged practice will continue under the
Principal Graeme Simpson said other than
the name change to WHK the main change
would be the ability to access a wider range of
services to further benefit clients.
"Our clients will still deal directly with our team
and continue to receive the high-quality advice and
service we are renowned for," Mr Simpson said.
He said both firms had similar cultures and
systems, which made the merger relatively easy.
"Obviously you don't look at doing this type
of deal unless there are benefits to clients and
staff," Mr Simpson said.
Simpson Grace began in March 1999 with Mr
Simpson and Damien Grace founding partners.
Mr Simpson will become the 10th partner of
WHK Albury alongside chief executive Peter
Tobin, Chris Kenny, Gary West, Kathy Evans,
David Morris, Tim Frazer, Ian Clark, Stephen
Bowler and Brad Bohun.
"Graeme Simpson and his team are highly
recognised within the local accounting industry
for the quality service they provide to their
clients," Mr Tobin said.
"Not only will clients access a wider range of
services, the merger is beneficial for staff, too.
"Our region has a deep level of local talent
and we encourage our staff to complete or
further their education here."
WHK has forged a reputation as one of the
leading providers of accounting, business and
wealth advisory services in the Albury-Wodonga
region over the past 115 years. It ensures you
and your business are kept up-to-date with the
latest industry developments and legislative
changes through access to the expertise and
resources of a global network, with a local
