Up and comers connection
A DYNAMIC initiative is available to connect,
inspire and support the young business people in
the Albury-Wodonga region.
Young Business Edge is targeting people under
the age of 40 from all industries and all positions.
The launch for Young Business Edge took place
in June this year and was extremely well received
by employees and employers alike.
Guest speaker Brad Smith, 25, the young
entrepreneur who created the global motocross
brand Braaap, told of his journey through
business, which would have inspired those in
attendance with new-found confidence and

Young Business Edge is a platform that is less
formal and aimed to attract the younger audience.
The main focus is to bring people together to
promote business opportunities and be a catalyst
for ideas and innovation.

Each year Young Business Edge holds four main

entertainment and inspiring guest speakers.
In addition to these events, there are monthly
informal get-togethers on the first Wednesday
of each month with no rSVp required. Held
at local venues, Catch The Edge gatherings are
designed to keep the young business community
in regular contact if you need a chat and to
welcome newcomers to the region.
The next event on the Young Business Edge
calendar is the end of year dinner. This is
being held at The Cube Wodonga on Friday,
November 9 with guest speaker Tom potter who
started Eagle Boys pizza. It will be a fantastic
opportunity to see the cube Wodonga first-hand,
enjoy some great food and celebrate the end of
the year with some fun.
